Hannah Foods turns to Enterprise Flex-E-Rent for nationwide service and supportDate published: 18/05/16
When Northwest food service company Hannah Foods was looking to replace two of its existing 26 tonne refrigerated distribution vehicles with brand-new top of the range replacement trucks, the company decided to switch to FSDF member Enterprise Flex-E-Rent.
As a result, two new DAF CF75.310 Euro VI 6×2 multi-temperature rigids have just gone into service in the 26-strong Hannah Foods distribution fleet.
Established in 1977, Hannah Foods is a family-owned business operating a UK-wide food service business, covering a full range of frozen, chilled and ambient products. As part of their all refrigerated vehicle fleet, the latest 26 tonne trucks from Enterprise Flex-E-Rent have been supplied on a three-year agreement including repair and maintenance.
Gary Hannah, director, Hannah Foods explains, “When we decided to replace the two incumbent vehicles, we were keen to work with a more proactive and responsive provider. The overall proposition from Enterprise Flex-E-Rent not only enabled us to obtain a top-quality vehicle specification, but it also gave us the proven national service support that is essential for our intensive distribution operation.”
Gary continues, “We had recently used Enterprise Flex-E-Rent for some short term weekly and day hire and were impressed with the service we received from our local Wigan branch. This was a significant contributing factor behind our decision to commit to a long term deal for these two new trucks.”
Both new DAF 26 tonne rigids feature Solomon twin compartment refrigerated bodies with Carrier Supra 1150 MT refrigeration systems and rear tuck-away Dhollandia tail lifts. As with all Hannah Foods refrigerated vehicles, these two new trucks have been specified with reversing cameras and Seven Telematics TranScan 2 data loggers for accurate load monitoring.
“Effective nationwide service support is essential for this type of operation and this is where Enterprise Flex-E-Rent scored really highly during the vehicle acquisition process. These new vehicles are operating on our wholesale business covering Scotland to London and the South West, with the trucks collecting and delivering frozen, chilled and ambient products to and from other food service distributors. This is a demanding environment,” commented Gary Hannah.
